This hand-painted hanging scroll (掛軸) by Mizuta Chikuhō (水田竹圃) is a fine example of Nanga (南画, Southern School painting), a style influenced by Chinese literati painting. The artwork, meticulously rendered on silk (絹本), presents a serene landscape scene (山水図), capturing the beauty of nature with expressive brushwork and refined composition. Mounted on a plastic roller (塑膠軸), it comes with its original tomobako (共箱, signed storage box). A superb addition for collectors of traditional Japanese paintings and literati art.
