€ 111.00 EUR

This elegant Japanese hanging scroll (掛軸) features the calligraphy of Koshō Shimizu (清水公照), the revered Head Abbot of the Kegon Sect at Tōdai-ji Temple. The inscription, "A gentle breeze brushes the quiet pines; the closer you listen, the more beautiful the sound" (微風吹幽松 近聴声愈好), is rendered in graceful hand-brushed ink (肉筆) on silk (絹本). This work exemplifies both spiritual depth and aesthetic refinement. The scroll is mounted on wooden rollers (木軸) and comes in its original tomobako (共箱), making it a meaningful piece for collectors of Buddhist art or Japanese calligraphy.
